Thriving through stressful times is the name of our stress management training workshop.

Delivered in-house or as a virtual classroom, you will learn a variety of techniques to proactively manage your stressors and yourself. This will enhance your ability to not just cope, but to flourish during times of stress.

Our stress management training workshop is designed to help you to:

  • understand the cycle of stress, and how each part of the cycle is relevant to you,
  • recognise when you need to take steps to manage your stress levels, including when to ask for help,
  • be conscious of the impact that stress can have on your health by understanding your cognitive, emotional and physiological responses to stress,
  • identify some lifestyle interventions that improve your physical health, which will in turn set you up to cope through unexpected stress,
  • develop your own cognitive techniques for dealing with stress “in the moment” as well as improving mental wellbeing over the longer term,
  • create a suite of activities to choose from to assist with proactive recovery in the short-, medium- and long-term,
  • recognise the signs of burnout and take action to reduce the risk of burnout.

At the end of your stress management training, you will have a personalised plan incorporating all the features listed above. As a result you will be ready to face whatever life throws at you! All of the solutions in your plan will be realistic to implement, meaning that you will be more motivated towards sticking to your plan.

FAQs about our stress management training

How are workshops delivered?

Our stress management training workshops can be delivered face to face or as virtual classrooms. If you have a large enough group we are happy to come to your workplace to deliver the workshop face to face.

How much time do I need to commit to this training?

Stress management training workshops run from 9am to 3pm, with a half-hour lunch break. You may need to do about 30 minutes of preparation. We encourage you to spend 2-3 hours as soon as possible after the workshop, to complete your stress management plan. This will allow you to add more detail to your plan, for example setting yourself some goals or thinking more deeply about how you can implement your solutions. You might also want to spend time researching some of the topics that you want to know more about.

What equipment do I need for a virtual classroom?

You will need to have a laptop or computer with webcam and microphone. This is important because in our social intelligence training workshops, we like to simulate the classroom as much as we can. By being able to see each other and talk to each other, the learning process is enriched and you will get more value from the training. You may also need to download software that allows you to connect to the classroom. We recommend that this is arranged with your workplace, or sorted on your home equipment well in advance of the workshop so you are up and running on the day.

What other training might complement this workshop?

Is stress management training right for me?

You don’t need to be experiencing a high load of stress to benefit from stress management training. As well as helping you to cope in the moment, you will also learn how to build physical and mental resilience. These will prepare you for any stressful times ahead.
