In what situations can coaching be useful?

Is coaching the same as therapy?
No, coaching is not therapy. Therapy focuses a lot on the past, exploring the life experiences that have shaped you today, and unpack the impact that those experiences have had on you. Coaching looks at the here and now and how you are relating to a situation that is causing you to feel stuck. Coaching is about the future – your future. And no, we’re not going to ask you about your childhood or to relive a past trauma.
Can you help me to make a difficult decision?
Coaching is not just about guiding people to a decision or a course of action. For a person to make lasting, positive changes, we combine deep enquiry with positive psychology to you to uncover learnings about yourself and how you see the world around you. By uncovering what is in the unconscious mind, you can then find the right path to making a decision or making lasting change.
How many sessions do I need?
This depends very much on you, and how deep you are willing to dig to find the answers within yourself, and how honest you are willing to be. Coaching could be a single session, or take place over a number of weeks, especially if you are looking for an accountability coach to help you make your changes stick.
What coaching credentials do you have?
Stephanie is a Certified Professional Transformational Coach, trained by Coach Masters Academy (credential ID2023-4749), and a member of the International Coaching Federation. This means that she is trained in cutting-edge coaching techniques and adheres to a strict code of ethical behaviour.
What if coaching can’t help me?
Transformational coaches are not qualified to help you to heal from trauma or help with things like depression and anxiety. Sometimes we might gently suggest that you speak with a different type of professional who has the right training for your situation.
